This has been a very stressful week. On Saturday my Grandfather passed away......and about 7 hrs later, my fahter passed away. What a shock that they both went in the same day. I did however manage to post a layout for round 4, in the Supreme Team contest. I did the layout through tears and with all that wasgoing on I never expected to be chosen. The layout was not my usual work, but surprise......I made the team. Not sure why I haven't been officially told that yet, but my name is listed on the team. I am so excited!

I'm doing it again!

It is time once again for the Supreme Team Contest at Go Digital Scrabooking. Round One has begun, adn the kit we are using is "Your Day" by Dani Alencar of GDS. There are so many talented digi artists entered in the contest that I am sure there will be some tough competition. But hey, it is a lot of fun just to join in and see what happens. This is the layout I submitted for round one. You can find the kit here: http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_dnld_info&cPath=29_102&products_id=3702 Its a bright and fun kit filled with lots of elements for those special birthday pages! I Would love having your support, please visit the gallery at GDS and leave me some love!

New kit from Alana

This kit is just ajoy to work with. The handpainted elements are so realistic, and so fun........well, of course they are right up my alley. I love fantasy elements, kind of storybook like. Here are a couple of layouts I did using the "Medieval" kit by Studio Alana at Scrapbookgraphics. YOu can find the kit here: http://shop.scrapbookgraphics.com/product.php?productid=23696&cat=0&page=1

There's going to be a Wedding!

My daughter said yes, and we are planning a wedding! Can you believe it, they want to get married this September! There is so much to do and so little time. So far we have a few spools of ribbon in the colors she chose, and other than that....well. We have an appointment on Thursday to tour a venue for the reception and ceremony.....wish us luck!
Here is a layout I did of them.....aren't they just the cutest! The elements and papers I used are from a mixture of kits by Natali.

Blushbutter has a new kit!

I have been on the Blushbutter Creative Team almost as long as I have been digi scrapping. I remember when Vanessa asked me to join her team, I said, Me?, are you sure? I am so thankful too Vanessa, as she was my encouragement. I love doing this, and thanks to Vanessa and other designers, we Creative Team members get to work with some fabulous kits!
Here is a layout using her newest kit "Glamour Starlet" and you can get the kit here, http://www.blushbutter.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=630

Updates

Wow it has been a while since I added anything here........life gets kind of busy at times. Our youngest daughter moved home, and we had lots to do to get ready, to get her packed, and then to get her here...finally it is done and things are beginning to get back to normal. I have been scrapping. I joined a new Creative Team over at Scrapbookgraphics, Studio Alana. She has some great designs, here a a few of the layouts I have done for her. The first two are with her kit "Spring Awakening" and you can find it here, http://shop.scrapbookgraphics.com/product.php?productid=23556&cat=0&page=1

The next two are layouts I did using another of Alana's kits called "Forest folk" which is a fantasy type kit that is great for playful magical layouts! You can find that kit here: http://shop.scrapbookgraphics.com/product.php?productid=23462&cat=0&page=1

And finally one of the layouts I did tonight using Alana's "Sand Under my Toes". Great for those beach photos!! So, that is some of what I have been up too in my so spare time! Will add more tomorrow!

Is tomorrow Monday already?

I don't know why weekends always seem to hurry by. Here it is Sunday night already and tomorrow it is back to work. Not sure why I am dreading it, as I was off all last week sick, you would think I'd be ready to go back. NOT! I did get to play this weekend, I did three fantasy layouts of my grand daughter. and I got my Halloween decorations up...so here are some of what I Did this weekend.
This page was done using Faerily Moonlit by Lorie Davison and elements from the kit Avalon by Valerie Randall. Love both of these designers!

This layout was done using a background from Blushbutter's Unicorn Kit, elements from Faerily Moonlit by Lorie Davison, elements from Avalon by Valerie Randall, and Scenery Trees by Christina Renee.

And this is one of my decorating ideas LOL, I took some family photos of Halloween past, printed them in black and white, put them in black frames that I had spritzed with orange paint, put some little tombstone here and there, finished it with a black candlelabra, complete with blood dripping candles and spiderwebbed the entire thing. Voila!! Halloween!

Sick Day....

I have a bug, a terrible head stuffy, upset stomach, achy, fever, yucky bug. SO I stayed home today. I slept most of the day, but I managed to get more of my book done and uploaded to Artscow. Pam, at Digitreats was wonderful enough to host this exchange and I was amazed at the great recipes. I am going to print them in a book for myself, and maybe as gifts.

I made a 6 card template, and put 6 cards to a page, and I made two 30 page books. The total price was $16.98! For two books!!! I love Artscow.

If any of you are interested here is the link to sign up and receive free stuff to start: Artscow
And if you go to the previous post that I made, there are coupons good for photobooks that you use AT CHECKOUT. Here are some shots of the book I was working on:

Recipe exchange

The first day of October....WOW. Before we know it, the holidays will be here. I am already working on gifts. I just went to get my nightly download from Pam at Digitreats. She put together a recipe exchange for her fans, complete with a recipe card template and category tags etc. It is amazing, she said she received over 300 recipes!!! I can not wait to get them! I think I will have Artscow print them, but I can't decide if I want cards, or to have them put in a book. Anyway, I posted the info on Pam's blog, so if anyone has come here for more info on Artscow, here is the reference link: Artscow.

If you join you will receive at least 400 free prints plus other things. Below I have listed coupon codes that are good until October 11. YOu will put the code in AT CHECKOUT and the total price for your 30 page book will be 11.99. To see examples of the books I have had done....scroll down and view my post about the books.

Today I requested my last kit as a Supreme Team Member. I will get it in the morning and do the layout and my duties will be complete. I am a bit sad, but I have to say, it has been a wonderful 3 months. I have gotten so many great kits from the designers there and I will have lots to work with long after this.

Here are just a few of the layouts I did this month:

For this one, I used Forever Autumn by Christy Skaggs.

This one is done using the kit Sweet September by Verena Karolyi

I used the kit The Butterfly Queens:Thaleia by Digital Anemonato scrap Chloe in the sand.

The end of my Supreme Team Duties

The last few days I have been finishing up my layout requirements for GDS. This is the last month of my "Supreme Team" duties there. In a way I hate to see it end as it has been quite rewarding to be a part of the team, but in another way I am ready for a break. I would like to get back to scrapping just for the fun of it. I love doing layouts, but I like choosing my own kits, and elements. I have completed my required 6 for the month of September, and up until the end of this month, I am able to choose the kits I want to work with. Today I chose "All Hallows Eve" by One Memory At A Time. It is an awesome kit, especially if you have kids who love Halloween like I do! Here are a couple fo the layouts I did with this kit. I had fun with these.

Busy Week

It has been a very busy week at our house, it is kind of nice to just relax this afternoon. I thought I would take time to post some of my newest pages. Also, I got my book today, and I have to tell you it is awesome! I will be taking some photos of it layer and posting them for you to see. Seriously, if you have some layouts that you wanted printed, this is a great way to present them.

Here are some of the newer layouts.

This layout is of my daughter, an amazingly strong and wonderful young woman. The kit used is from Bianca Argollo of Go Digital Scrapbooking.

This one is my grand daughter on her birthday. Kit is the September Birthday Collab offered at Go Digital Scrapbooking.

New Project

I have to tell you about a new kit that I have been working with. Pam, from Digitreats, sent me a link to the kit because she knows that I like faeries and she told me how awesome the kit is. The kit is "Faerily Moonlit" by Lorie Davison. You can find it here:

Instead of the normal scrapbook page, when I got this kit, I was inspired to write something to go with it. I ended up writing a short children's story and using the kit to illustrate the book. I hope to find other things to do with this kit, but for now........this is it, below is the cover of the book..
